This hands-on class is where our great reputation for helping people get into the IT field all started. This class is taught by some of the area's best technicians. They will teach you to be comfortable with repairing software or hardware issues on desktops, laptops. This class will cover software and hardware repairs, data recovery, virus/worms/spyware/trojan malware, wireless networks and everything in between. Our goal after completion of this class is that students will be able to walk into any home and fix their computer issues with sound fundamental skills. This course is essential for an entry level career-minded individual doing technical support and IT service work. We strongly recommend all students, after successful completion of this class, to continue their career path and join the MCSE (networking) class to allow them to repair business computers as well. Since our students should be comfortable repairing computers upon completion of this class, they should be prepared to pass the CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ exams
The CompTIA A+ certification is the industry standard for computer support technicians. The international, vendor-neutral certification proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting. CompTIA A+ certified technicians also have excellent customer service and communication skills to work with clients. CompTIA N+ certification is vendor non vender biased to prepare students for a career advancement with networking fundamentals.
